Aged inventory is stock that has been sitting with us longer than it should have. Usually an unusual size, a discontinued flavour, or a line that never found its audience in the UAE. What makes this section worth a look

1. Discontinued flavours and sizes

Products a manufacturer has stopped making or we have stopped carrying. If your pet liked one of these, this is your last chance to stock up.

2. Unusual pack sizes at a discount

Large bags and multipacks that move slowly at full price but work out well if you have several pets or a big dog.

3. In date with normal shelf life

Unlike the near-expiry section, aged inventory is not necessarily close to its date. It has simply been on our shelf a while.

What is the difference between aged inventory and near expiry?

Aged inventory is about how long the item has been in our warehouse, and it may still have plenty of shelf life. Near expiry is specifically about how close the product is to its best-before date. The two overlap sometimes but they are not the same thing, and each listing shows its own date.

Will this product be restocked?

Usually not. Much of this section is discontinued or a line we are stopping, which is precisely why it is discounted. If your pet has settled on one of these, buy enough to transition them onto something else later rather than being caught out.

My pet is fussy and this is the only food they eat. What should I do?

Buy what you need now, and start planning a transition, because discontinued lines do run out. Switch gradually over seven to ten days by mixing the new food in, rather than changing suddenly when the last bag is gone.

Are the discounts here as deep as the damaged section?

Usually not quite. Slightly damaged items carry the largest reductions because the packaging is visibly marked. Aged inventory is discounted to move but the product and packaging are both in normal condition.
