Bird Treats
Treats give a caged bird something to work at, which matters enormously for a species that would otherwise spend most of its day foraging. Millet sprays, seed sticks, fruit blends and mineral treats all provide occupation as well as nutrition. Pet Corner Dubai stocks over 40 bird treats from RIO, KIKI, Kaytee and Vadigran.
What makes our bird treat range stand out
1. Seed sticks that take real time to strip
A compressed stick clipped to the cage bars gives a bird twenty minutes or more of work, which is exactly the foraging behaviour a cage removes.
2. Species-appropriate blends
Budgies, cockatiels, canaries and parrots have genuinely different needs. RIO and KIKI ranges are formulated by species rather than sold as generic bird food.
3. Mineral and calcium supplements
Cuttlebone and mineral blocks support beak condition and calcium levels, which matters particularly for laying hens and breeding birds.
4. Fruit and vegetable treats
Dried fruit and vegetable pieces add variety to a seed-heavy diet and give a bird something different to investigate.
Frequently asked questions
How often should I give my bird treats?
Small amounts daily are fine, but keep treats to a modest share of the diet. Seed sticks and millet in particular are high in fat, and an all-seed diet is one of the most common causes of obesity and nutritional deficiency in pet birds. The bulk of the diet should be a complete pellet plus fresh vegetables.
Is millet spray bad for budgies?
Not in moderation, and it is excellent for taming a nervous bird and for encouraging a poor eater. It is high in fat though, so treat it as a reward rather than a staple. A small piece daily rather than a full spray left in the cage.
What foods are dangerous for birds?
Avocado, chocolate, caffeine, alcohol, onion, garlic, and anything salty or containing xylitol are all toxic to birds. Fruit pits and apple seeds should also be removed. If your bird eats any of these, contact a vet immediately, as birds deteriorate very quickly.
How do I store bird treats in this climate?
In an airtight container somewhere cool and dark. Seed and dried fruit attract pantry moths and weevils in UAE humidity, and mould develops faster than people expect. Check the contents before giving anything that has been open a while.
Can I set up autoship for bird treats?
Yes. Treats and seed sticks get used on a predictable cycle, so a scheduled delivery you can pause, change or cancel any time works well. In this range you save up to twenty percent on your first autoship delivery and up to fifteen percent on repeats.
How fast can I get bird supplies delivered in Dubai?
We offer 15-minute express delivery on selected items in covered areas of Dubai. Availability shows at checkout once you enter your address, and standard scheduled delivery covers the rest of the UAE.
