Clipper Oil

Clipper oil is what keeps a blade cutting cleanly and running cool. Skipping it is the single most common reason blades dull early and overheat against a dog skin. Pet Corner Dubai stocks clipper oil from Andis.

What makes our clipper oil range stand out

1. Formulated for clipper blades specifically

Light enough to penetrate between the teeth without gumming, unlike heavier general lubricants which attract hair and clog.

2. Reduces heat as well as friction

Most blade heat comes from friction between cutter and comb. Oiling directly reduces the temperature reaching the dog skin.

3. Extends blade life substantially

Sharpening is expensive and blades are consumables. Regular oiling is by far the cheapest way to reduce both.

4. Applicator bottles for controlled dosing

A few drops along the teeth is all that is needed. Fine nozzles prevent over-oiling, which itself attracts hair.

Frequently asked questions

How often should I oil the blade?

Before starting, every ten to fifteen minutes during use, and again before storing. It feels excessive until you compare blade life and running temperature with and without it.

How much oil should I use?

Three to five drops along the cutting teeth with the clipper running, then wipe off the excess. Too much attracts hair and forms a paste that works like grinding compound against the blade.

Can I use another lubricant instead?

Do not use cooking oil, WD-40 or general machine oil. They are either too heavy, they gum up, or they contain solvents that strip the blade and are unsafe against skin. Use a proper clipper oil.

Is the oil safe if it touches the dog skin?

Clipper oils are formulated for this contact and small residual amounts are not a concern. Wipe excess off the blade before it touches the dog, and avoid oiling directly over the coat.
