Today 

So far, this has meant avoiding or reducing our CO2 emissions in the manufacturing process wherever possible. Greenhouse gases cannot be completely avoided in production today, and every manufacturing company must be aware of this. How we deal with this realization? We offset the remaining CO2 emissions through a forest conservation project. 

Tomorrow

An important part of our sustainability efforts is the gradual questioning  of our production methods - in order to improve them and lower the energy consumption. In the long term, we no longer want to be dependent on offsetting our CO2 emissions. 
We have made the decision: Our production should be climate-neutral by 2035 according to the European Union's definition

Why we are continuing to offset

Until we have achieved our major goal, we will report regularly on our progress. Until then, we will continue to offset current emissions through our forest conservation project. 
We are convinced that our project makes an enormous contribution to climate and species protection and that it takes the commitment of companies to keep these projects alive. It can be greener - it always can - but we tackle what is realistic for us and are happy to go one step ahead.

How we continue to reduce CO2

For us, climate-friendly also means looking beyond our own production facilities and carefully weighing up the climate impact of the raw materials we need for our recipes. We work with our suppliers to get the best raw materials which are sourced responsibly, but also think about how we can redesign our recipes to make them more climate-friendly.
